We love our families and ask for all our parents to be as involved as you can be in your child’s education. Below lists different opportunities available to our parents to become involved?
- Open Door Policy – stop in to give you child a special lunch or fun treats for the classroom
- Special Interest: A parent can share a special talent or interest with the children in one of our weekday lessons. Time commitment varies and would be planned in advance between you and your child’s teacher.
- Snack Calendar: A monthly “snack calendar” is made for each classroom. Your child will be assigned one day per month to bring snack for their class. Please keep in mind we adhere to state health laws and are allergen cautious so we cannot accept any nuts, all milk must be 1%, juice must be 100% juice, and no opened food items can be given out to the classroom. This is your child’s special day as “snack person”! Please don’t forget. On this day, your child may do “Show and Tell” or “bring your favorite book” for the teacher to read. Each classroom does something different, so be sure to ask the teacher about this.
- Parent/Teacher Conferences: We offer Parent/Teacher conferences one time a year or more by request. Teachers test children at the beginning of the year and end of the year. In January plan to meet with teachers to help determine their placement for the following year. (Two-year-olds do not have conferences). If, however, there is another time that you would like to have a meeting with your child’s teacher, we would be happy to set that up for you.
